Adding cable attachment is one of the best ways of spicing up an otherwise interesting home gym.
Cable attachments are popular with almost everyone, from complete beginners to hard core bodybuilders. They offer a combination of smooth, easy action, and a consistent muscle effort, that makes them a valuable addition to your training.
Cable attachments for the home gym come in two different forms. The first are those that you add to an all-in-one home gym machine. These types of machines range from the basic through to those that offer dozens of exercises, and many have expansion space to add cable attachments - this can let you add exercises such as lat pull downs, and leg exercises like leg curls and leg extensions, two of the most popular leg exercises.
Alternatively, you can get units that work alone - either as free standing units, or that attach to the wall. Wall mounted fitting can be very space efficient, a key point when constructing a home gym.
Just make sure your wall can support the weight! If your walls are brick, then as long as you secure it properly you should be fine, but plasterboard walls will not support the weight and constant movement.
