York Fitness begun as two different companies with the first in USA and the second in Canada about 75 years ago. Bob Hoffman, the founder of York USA and former coach to the USA's Olympic Weightlifting team from 1948 to 1964, dealt with Olympic Weightlifting, while York Canada focused on strength equipment for the home.
With the demand for weights and benches climbing, York Canada expanded in 2004, adding offices to Australia, UK and Taiwan and had distributors in 50 countries. York USA and York Canada combined in 2004 has been one of the strongest names in fitness since.
With their commercial products being used by top sport teams such as Northampton Saints, LA Lakers, Washington Redskins and Lions to name a few, there's no doubt that York Fitness is one of the biggest in the global world of fitness.
